Mizuno’s heritage dates all the way back to 1906 in Osaka. Back then, the company made baseball kits as the sport was growing popular in Japan, but they have since expanded to be a global sportswear brand, and we're thrilled to have curated some our favourite Mizuno sneakers for Oliver Spencer Studio.
The Contender is one such shoe. It first appeared in Mizuno's 1995 running catalogue but was reinvented in 2021. Excuse us if we nerd out here, but the single density compression-moulded EVA foam midsole uses Transpower technology which aligns Sorbothane with the original impact-to-response H2 build found in golf balls. In layman's terms? They make moving really comfortable and efficient. This particular style has been given a luxury makeover with the application of buttery soft suede details.
